The ‘Gratula’ word does not verify your Facebook account’s security
A lot of Facebook users are careful about their use of the social media site. After the data scandal, there has been a decrease in the number of users as well. But as months have passed, there continue some messages which talk about the security of your Facebook profile.
A profile’s security has become a thing of utmost concern among the users. A message is being shared widely on the social media site, which asks a user to type ‘Gratula’ in the comment sections, and if the word turns Red then the profile is secure and if not, it is hacked. But let us tell you, this message is nothing but a hoax.
A few months ago, similar messages were being flashed on the site which asked users to type ‘BFF’ in either comments section or status. In that case, if the word turned green, your profile was secure.
But that too was a false news. Now a post is going viral about the word ‘Gratula’ which translates to ‘Kudos’ in English. So it is actually a congratulatory word and Facebook already marks these terms in red.
Facebook has been showing the word ‘congratulations’ in red for quite some time now, to show the excitement or catch the attention of others. In similar fashion, Gratula turns to red as it symbolises a special word.
So there is no truth or its connection to your profile’s security. Facebook has already implemented some new security measures post the scandal.

The message is getting more shares from Malaysia currently and a lot of people are resorting to the measure. It states Mark Zuckerberg has created the new word and asks the user to change their password immediately if it does not turn red.
If you see anyone using this method or even sharing/forwarding the message, please inform them that it is a hoax. It is just a celebratory word highlighted according to the social media site’s update. Do not fall prey to such tactics.
